Benefit of adding Cureety Techcare telemonitoring to usual care during injectable anticancer treatment
Study description
A prospective, randomized, open-label, multicentric study designed to evaluate the effectiveness of standard of care with Cureety (RPM), compared to the standard of care alone OPTIMA program, to reduce the number of outgoing telephone calls during the first 8 weeks of intravenous treatment. The OPTIMA oncology program streamlines chemotherapy prescription and preparation through a pre-treatment consultation or call, and blood tests conducted 2 days before the patient's infusion.
Key results
127 patients in RPM group • 65 in control group (OPTIMA).
Reduction of the total number of calls in RPM group (mean diff = -1.25 • p < 0.001), and specifically the number of call for visit preparation (mean diff = -2.7 • p < 0.001).
Increase number of calls for inter-cycles toxicities (mean diff = +1.48 • p < 0.001) → Optimized patient management.
